What is mecarpool.com?

Mecarpool.com is a user friendly portal to facilitate the sharing of car lifts for people going to and from similar locations and/or along similar routes. No registration is required to view pools or reply to pools. Registration is required to post new pools or edit previous pools.

A pool is an advertisement for wanting or offering a car share arrangement.

How to register with mecarpool.com

1. You need to register to post and edit pools. Not to view or reply.
2. Click on the Register link and submit requested information.
3. You should be able to post a pool right away. If not, check your inbox for a link to click to confirm your registration.

How to post a pool

1. The submit pool link is only available in categories where pools can be submitted.
2. Login to mecarpool.com if you are not already logged in.
3. Go to the category in which you want to post a pool.
4. Click on submit a pool.
5. Fill in requested information and post. Your pool should be available immediately.

Choose the category for submission before posting a new pool. If you want to change the category, you'll have to delete your pool and make a new one in the new category.

Language

Pools in English are preferred but some other languages are accepted (it depends on what we understand). Please see the languages list in the terms and conditions section.

How to view pools

1. Go to your chosen category
2. Browse the list of car pools shown for one that suits your requirements.
3. Click on the title of the pool to view all details.
4. Either phone the poster directly, or reply via the mecarpool.com system.

View, edit, delete your pools

1. A link is available, when you are logged in, to view any pools you have posted. Click on My pools.
2. You can click on the title of a pool to view the details. On the right are links from which you can edit or delete your pool.

How to reply to pools

• To reply to a pool, click on the title of the pool to view all details and access the reply link.
• You can also forward the pool on to a friend's email address.

How to search pools

1. Go to category you want to search and click on Search.
2. Scroll down the page to the category specific search (unless you want to search all of mecarpool.com)
3. Enter requested information and click ok.
4. If you see a suitable pool, either phone the poster directly or reply via the mecarpool.com system.
5. You can do a general search of all of mecarpool.com from the top of the search page.
